Caleb Teacher (STEAM Coordinator) is 1 Million Dollars Global Teacher Prize 2021 Finalist

    Caleb teacher, Olusegun Adeniyi is one of the two Nigerian teachers named in the top 50 shortlist for the $1 Million Global Teacher Prize 2021 from over 8,000 nominations and applications from 121 countries around the world. Art teacher Olusegun Adeniyi, who teaches at Caleb British International School, Lagos, Nigeria, is not only renowned for bringing out the creative side of his fortunate students with two decades of nurturing new talent and creating stimulating art projects. With his blended classroom teaching methods he also engages them in activities that bolster skills demanded of a 21st Century workforce, improving their self-confidence and encouraging them to be lifelong learners, critical thinkers, and global citizens. ECO-FRIENDLY READING TABLE LAMP

            When the sun goes down, it usually becomes so difficult many children in some low-income communities in Nigeria to further study their books… because of poor access to stable electricity. The Caleb STEAM Hub has invented an Eco-friendly Reading Table-Lamp for these children from communities with no/poor access to stable electricity to enable them to read/study at night. This year, in commemoration of the International Day of the Girl Child, the Eco-friendly Reading Table-Lamp was delivered to a school girl in Abijo Community. If you educate a man, you educate an individual. But if you educate a woman, you educate a nation. When girls are educated, their countries become stronger and more prosperous.
