ECO-FRIENDLY READING TABLE LAMP

When the sun goes down, it usually becomes so difficult many children in some low-income communities in Nigeria to further study their books… because of poor access to stable electricity.

The Caleb STEAM Hub has invented an Eco-friendly Reading Table-Lamp for these children from communities with no/poor access to stable electricity to enable them to read/study at night.

This year, in commemoration of the International Day of the Girl Child, the Eco-friendly Reading Table-Lamp was delivered to a school girl in Abijo Community.

If you educate a man, you educate an individual. But if you educate a woman, you educate a nation. When girls are educated, their countries become stronger and more prosperous. The highest result of education is tolerance.

At Caleb STEAM Hub, we recognized the importance of girl child education and we want to help every girl child (as much as possible) achieve their educational goals.

STEAM stands for science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. It is an interdisciplinary learning approach that enables learners to integrate multiple fields of studies for creative, innovative and critical problem-solving. The Caleb STEAM Hub is to explore the holistic and intercultural integration of global citizenship into STEAM education that enables students to solve their community issues. The overall objective is for the CBIS students to participate in, and contribute to, contemporary global issues at local, national and global levels as informed, engaged, responsible and responsive global citizens.
