Tree Planting Advocacy Exhibit

Our Tree Planting Advocacy will be open to public from 17 to 19 May 2021 during the UNESCO World Conference on Education for Sustainable Development, and on Friday 4th of June to commemorate the 2021 International Environmental Day (which is June 5).

Earlier this year, we launched series of Tree Planting Advocacy projects through STEAM which won the David Shepherd Award at the Global Canvas Competition organized by DSWF in UK. Watch the historical moment when we were announced winners here: https://youtu.be/b2yyx7cL4zQ

The Caleb GREEN-STEAM Hub created the 3D recycled artwork to help the students contribute to the solution of global warming and related issues like deforestation. It is titled “Restoring our Forests (Afforestation and Reforestation)”. The project was executed with about 90% recycling materials. Recycling is an absolute necessity for dealing with waste and another response to reducing global warming. The project is related to SDG 13: Climate Action; SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production; SDG 15: Life on Land.

The project is to drive Tree planting advocacy geared towards instilling the culture of maintaining the ecosystem and sustaining the rainforest with the goal to preserve biodiversity, prevent climate change and reduce global warming.
